Remote

Remote colour grading and online editing, Australia-wide

Melbourne based. The work does not need you to be.

Most of my grading and online work now runs remotely. Clients in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and further afield get the same colour-managed pipeline, the same versioning discipline and the same delivery checks as a job booked into a Melbourne suite, without a travel line on the budget or a facility day rate attached to it.

Australian clients tend to search for a remote colourist; American and international ones write remote colorist or remote color grading. Same service either way — a freelance colourist and online editor working to your timeline and your delivery spec.

You send the job, not the drives

Camera originals or graded-ready proxies go up once. I work from a colour-managed Resolve project built around your sources, so nothing is regenerated twice and nothing gets lost between offices.

Calibrated review, not a compressed stream

Review passes go out as colour-accurate files with the right metadata, or as a live supervised session where that is worth the setup. What you approve on your screen is what leaves mine.

Notes handled the way an in-person session would

Rounds of notes are versioned from one source of truth, so a change to the hero propagates through cutdowns, aspect ratios and market versions instead of being redone by hand.

Delivery checked against the real spec

Broadcast, platform and agency deliverables built to what the broadcaster actually requires. A remote job should not mean a master that comes back on QC.

Where the work comes from

Time zones that actually work.

Australia spans two and a half hours. That is close enough that a supervised remote session still happens inside one working day, which is the part that usually decides whether remote is worth it.

Sydney

Agency and commercial work, remote review across the same time zone.

Brisbane

Campaign grades and online, no travel cost on the budget.

Perth

Two hours behind Melbourne, which makes for a long shared working day.

Adelaide

Half an hour behind, effectively local for review sessions.

Canberra

Government and institutional work with strict delivery specs.

Hobart

Same time zone, same turnaround as anywhere in Victoria.

Darwin

Remote sessions scheduled around the half-hour offset.

New Zealand

Two hours ahead; overnight turnarounds work in your favour.
