Back in 2014, I embarked on a fascinating immersive video journey, experimenting with 12K cameras and combining six lenses informations to create a 360 stereoscopic experience.
Along the way, armed with an Insta 360 Pro and Mistika VR, I enjoyed working on diverse projects in Dubai, ranging from government initiatives to educational endeavors and Expo 2020 engagements.
The post-production phase was a technical whirlwind, seamlessly integrating CGI into the footage in an insanely high pixel count (for the time).
Venturing into immersive events, I set up VR caves and explored aerial and underwater VR, and affiliating with IVRPA, I became part of the immersive video community.
Reflecting on it now, in 2014 the timing was not right for mass adoption.
Hopefully in 2024, with the advent of Apple Vision Pro and the latest technological developments, the landscape is ripe for the creation of sophisticated immersive video content.
